The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, is now selling application forms for admission into its Pre-Degree Science Programme (PDS) for the 2025/2026 academic session. Successful applicants, upon completing the programme, will have the opportunity to be considered for admission into LAUTECH’s degree programmes.

Programme Details

• Duration: The programme runs for six (6) calendar months, followed by an intensive and compulsory ICT programme lasting three (3) months.
• Application Fee: Fifteen Thousand Naira (₦15,000) only.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of five O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB.

Candidates must also:

1. Obtain the 2025 UTME form.
2. Sit for the examination.
3. Achieve the minimum cut-off mark determined by the University Senate.

Available Programmes

Applicants are expected to select two (2) choices from the available undergraduate programmes. Note: Choices must be made from two separate groups (Group A and Group B).

Group A

• College of Health Sciences: Medicine, Nursing, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science.
• Engineering and Technology: Chemical, Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Computer, Mechanical, Food, and Agricultural Engineering.
• Environmental Sciences: Architecture.
• Management Sciences: Accounting, Transport Management, Marketing, Economics, Management Studies.
• Food and Consumer Sciences: Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science, Consumer Science.
• Computing Science and Informatics: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information System.

Group B

• Agricultural Sciences: Agricultural Economics, Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology, Crop Production and Soil Science, Crop and Environmental Protection.
• Pure and Applied Sciences: Pure and Applied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics.
• Environmental Sciences: Urban and Regional Planning.
• Others: Fine and Applied Arts, Statistics, Science Laboratory Technology, Earth Sciences.

How to Apply

1. Visit the application portal: https://apply.lautech.edu.ng.
2. Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦15,000 via an Interswitch-enabled Debit (ATM) card.
3. Complete the online application form carefully. Incomplete forms will not be processed.
4. Download and print the acknowledgement slip bearing your passport photograph as evidence of successful submission.

Entrance Examination

• Date: Thursday, December 5, 2025.
• Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Venue: PDS Complex, 1,500 Lecture Theatre, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.

Applicants should bring their application printout and O’Level result(s) for screening.

Placement into Degree Programmes

Placement into degree programmes depends on:

1. Performance in the Pre-Degree final exams.
2. Meeting admission requirements.
3. Participation in the ICT training.
4. Availability of space in the desired programme.
