JUST IN: JAMB commences sale of 2023 UTME forms (Starting and Closing Date)

The sale of 2023 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) application documents for Nigerian and international centers has begun, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

For candidates who meet the requirements and want to enroll in Nigerian tertiary institutions, the UTME exam is administered annually.

The registration period for UTME candidates, including those from foreign nations, will run from Saturday, January 14, 2023, to Tuesday, February 14, 2023, according to information received from the board.

While registration concludes on Friday, February 17, 2023, PIN vending for the UTME ends on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Before starting the application process, candidates must have a personal email account that is both active and functioning.

Beginning on Monday, February 20, 2023, applications for direct entry will be accepted through Thursday, April 20, 2023. Only the State and zonal offices of the Board will accept DE registrations.

Jamb O Level Requirements & Others

Five (5) o’level credit passes, including English Language, are the minimum prerequisite for entry into the first degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID), and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs.

For law, scientific-based, and social science programs, it is furthermore necessary to have credit in mathematics.

Any of the aforementioned requirements may be met by applicants who are being evaluated for admission:

A minimum of five (5) SSSC topics at O’level, passed in no more than two sittings, with the two necessary subjects for each program.

For each program course of study, there must be two passes (in the required topics) in the A’level Examination given by the IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or Institute of Baccalaureate with three credit passes in the SSSC.

Passes in three other subjects—SSSC, NTC/NBC, and two of NCE’s key subjects—with credit (mainly for technical and education programmes).

A minimum of a C in the relevant O’levels and a University/National Diploma or a Nation Innovation Diploma.
