The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is pleased to announce the commencement of the Post UTME screening exercise for the 2023/2024 academic session. This article aims to provide a comprehensive guide for prospective candidates who are interested in applying for admission to OAU. 

The Management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, invites suitably qualified UTME and Direct Entry candidates to its 2023/2024 academic session admission screening exercise.

Important Note: The University has not employed the services of any third-party or middle person for the registration process. The registration can be done online, from anywhere, and at any time before the closing date.

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, wishes to inform prospective students who chose the University as their first choice in the 2022 UTME Exercise and registered for the 2022 Post UTME screening exercise that the exercise has been postponed until November 1st, 2023. This change is to allow applicants facing registration challenges to complete their registration.

OAU Post UTME Screening Eligibility and Requirements

Candidates who made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, their First Choice Institution in the 2022/2023 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible for screening. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes, including English Language, at not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME screening will not be considered for admission.

Direct Entry (DE) candidates should note that they will not undergo any additional screening examination. However, they need to ensure that their transcripts are forwarded by the Awarding Institution to the Admission Office, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, for DE Admission processing.

OAU Post UTME Screening Process

The screening exercise is fully online, and candidates are not required to travel to the University for the exercise. It can be done privately at their convenience, with a good internet connection and a reliable computer or laptop. Please note that OAU does not endorse or recommend any CBT center for the purpose of this exercise.

How to Apply for OAU Post UTME Form

Registration for the 2023 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) screening exercise will commence on Thursday, 8th September, and end on Sunday, 16th October 2023. Applicants should follow the steps below:

1. Visit admissions.oauife.edu.ng

2. Log in to the site with your Registration Number as Username and your Surname as Password.

3. Fill out the biodata form and click continue.

4. Obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from this site only, and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

5. Once payment is accepted, the system logs out, and you can now log in again.

Applicants should note that providing false information or uploading incorrect credentials will result in automatic disqualification. The screening exercise will take place on the allotted dates and times from November 1, 2023.

Closing Date, Venue & Other Details

The closing date for the registration of OAU Post UTME 2023/2024 is Sunday, 16th October 2023. Candidates are advised to check their screening schedule on the OAU portal from 12th October 2023. The screening fee is

 N2,000, payable during the registration process.

Important Reminders:

– Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME Results, and other registration documents must match.

– Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age or above to be eligible for the exercise.

– Mobile phones, iPads, iPods, walkmans, and similar gadgets are not allowed into the screening venue.

– Candidates must register within the specified registration period.

– Candidates who chose OAU as their second choice must make a change to OAU as their First Choice before applying for the screening exercise.

– Candidates must ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB website.

– Valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses must be used during registration.
